NHPF Grant Application

In their August 2002 meeting, the NHPF Directors approved the format of a Grant Application Form, which was reprinted in the November/December 2002 Newsline. The NHPF will begin a modest program of issuing grants for the construction of new or the upgrade of older horseshoe courts. Initially, up to 8 grants a year will be issued at a maximum of $1,000 each. There will be two application deadlines a year, March 1st and September 1st. The directors will review applications during those months and issue their decision by April 1st and October 1st. It is realized that projects may cost more than this but with volunteer labor and good planning $1,000 could be the difference between getting started and doing nothing. It is hoped that if the program goes well, the dollar amount of grants can grow as financial contributions to the NHPF increase.
