The Dundee Sportsman Club originated in 1968. A group of friends, lead by founder's  decided that a fun competition between their families would be an entertaining, challenging way to enjoy the outdoors. Member's organized these families into a non-political assembly, picked leaders and received an official charter in March 1969. With strong family orientation, these sportsmen, wives or girl friends and children came together at monthly meetings to plan activities.

Spring, the time for picnics featured horseshoes for the adults, races for the kids, hot dogs or pot luck luncheons. .

The family picnic has  at each of the tournaments and a summer windup and barbecue just before school reconvenes in September. We are continually modifying social events to suit the demand. Although shooting sports were dear to the hunters, fishing was the activity that commanded the largest participation, thus was born the Master Angler of Dundee Sportsman's Club Inc Fishing Tournaments.

The Master Angler is the largest family style fishing tournament at the Dundee Sportsman's Club.

With the enthusiasm of new members, came new directors for various activities.

 The club has been actively involved in the Hunter Safety Classes and contributed to Nra, MUCC,
