The Atlantic Ammunition Company of New York produced this trap in 1887. This trap was one of the first clay target traps. It was called the "Blue Rock Trap". They also produced a black regulation size clay target for this trap. It was adapted by the New York and Illinois Sportsmen's Associations for their shoots.
