Betty Bragg proudly announces the results of the Michigan State S.C.T.P. championships.  Dundee Sportsman’s Club took:
1.  Two 1^st Places in the Intermediate Advanced Entry Level Divisions.
2.  3^Rd Place in the Junior Varsity.
3.  Entry Level Hi-Gun, Junior Varsity Hi-Gun, and Lady HI-Gun Runner-up. 
Both Varsity Squads did well and came very close to placing.  We are now getting ready for the Nationals with five squads going.  If anyone would like to donate to the S.C.T.P’s trip to the Nationals contact Betty Bragg at 734-289-2055.

Leo Liedel has raffle tickets for the September Gun-a-Day for 30 Days raffle.  If you want tickets to sell or just want to buy yourself a ticket contact Leo Liedel @ 734-755-6803.  Any unsold tickets you have should be turned into Leo by August 21^st so they can be given to other Club members to sell.

 The MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS will be held on August 7^th at 7 PM.  Come early and enjoy a beverage and good conversation.    If you know anyone interested in the shooting sports, bring them to the meeting to check out the Club.  They may want to become a member.

The DSC ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST will be served on August 17th from 8 AM to 12 Noon.  Bring your friends—not only will you have a good breakfast—you will be supporting the Club.  See the menu in the Newsletter.

HUNTER SAFETY CLASSES will be held on August 11^th, 13^th, 14^th & 15^th.  You must attend all four sessions and pass the exam to receive your certificate.  Registration starts at 4:30 PM on August 11^th.  All classes start at 5 PM and end about 9:30 PM.

Hunter Safety Classes will also be offered on September 8^th, 10^th and 11^th.

The KITCHEN will be OPEN for the HUNTER SAFETY CLASS on August 11^th, 13^th, 14^th and 15^th serving hot dogs and chips.  Soft drinks and other nibbles will be available from the bar.  Alcoholic beverages will not be sold during the Hunter Safety Classes.

Our last SUMMER STEAK ROAST will be held August 8^th (Friday) from 5 PM to 7:30 PM.  $14 for a New York Strip Steak and $8 for Marinated Chicken.  Also included are salad bar, potato, vegetable, and roll and butter.

A VOLUNTEER is needed to MAINTAIN THE CLUB SIGN that is located at the driveway entrance to the Club.  Duties included keeping the sign information current and care of the sign.  This is a good way to earn your work hours!  To volunteer, contact John Parker @ 734-735-1903.

  EUCHRE NIGHTS?  Charles Collins indicated an interest in restarting the Euchre Card Games this fall.  Charles is willing to help operate the games, but can not be available for every game.  If anyone else is interested in restarting Euchre Nights contact Charles Collins:  734-529-3803 or Ted Norris:  734-915-1186.

The classes are not shooting classes. Successfully passing these classes will qualify you to teach CPL classes, Basic Pistol classes, Rifle classes and Shotgun classes.  If you are interested in the classes one must contact Wayne Blank @ Phone 734-241-9131 or

as-soon-as-possible.  There are pre-qualifiers that must be met and signed.   Pre-registration is required.  A deposit must be paid one month before class starts.  And you must be able to speak before a group.

WHERE DO WE FIND TARGETS? The archery targets are in the back room.  The rifle and pistol targets are in the trap room.  Archery targets are $1.00 each.  Rifle and pistol targets are 10 cents each.  Target fees should be placed in the Range Fee Box.
