Off the shelf
refer to arrow shelf

Open stance
The position of the feet on the shooting line, where the left foot is behind an imaginary line extending between the archer's right foot and the centre of the target (for a right handed archer).

Over-bowed
term used to describe someone shooting a bow which they cannot physically control

Overdraw
To draw the bow beyond the arrow length for which the bow is designed.

Overlays
laminations used in the grip and limb tip areas to beautify and strengthen those areas

Overstrung
When the fistmele is exceeded by the use of too short a bow string.
